DON'T LET ME BE MISUNDERSTOOD

Oh, Oh baby don't you know
I'm human |
This song was written for NINA SIMONE. When Horace and his wife presented the song to Ms. Simone, she said, "it sounds like the person who would sing this song is hurt." The couple replied, "Do you want us to hurt you?" Gratefully, Nina recorded the song that became one of her top hits. Though Horace wrote the song, he put his wife, Gloria's name as writer to honor her.
